Art is dynamic and artists are only people after all – musicians continue their development and rethink their programs, an opera diva can suddenly fall ill… In such cases we do our best to react in an accommodating way, but as a matter of principle, the program and performers are unfortunately subject to change; this is in the nature of things and does not entitle one to a refund of tickets already purchased. In addition to the ticket, we recommend that you purchase ticket cancellation insurance for € 5 per ticket. This insurance allows you to withdraw your ticket purchase in case of illness or accident preventing you from attending.
You can choose between different delivery methods during the booking process:
- By mail (note the additional service fee)
- To pick up at the box office
- Electronically: Print@home, QR code to your cell phone, Apple Wallet
Gift vouchers of any value starting from € 10 are available by phone +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101, at the box office in the Festspielhaus or online in our webshop. The vouchers can be used for ordering tickets.
Upon obtaining ticket cancellation insurance for € 5, you have a contractual right to return a ticket purchased for an event at the Festival Hall Baden-Baden, in case the ticket purchaser or accompanying person becomes seriously ill or cannot attend due to accident, or in case of death of immediate relatives of the ticket purchaser or accompanying person.
In order to recognize this right to cancellation, the Festival Hall Baden-Baden must be informed of the circumstances two hours at the latest prior to the beginning of the event for which the ticket was purchased. The cancellation notice must then be submitted within the following four weeks, accompanied by the ticket cancellation insurance certificate, original ticket, and an attestation.
The ticket cancellation insurance must be purchased at the same time as the ticket and cannot be obtained afterward.
Ticket cancellation insurance is not offered for entertainment events.
Standing room tickets for sold-out concerts will only be made available at the box office on the night of the performance. For Information, please call +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101.
With an individual subscription you are not only able to choose and secure tickets for all your favourite performances; you can also make a considerable saving. An individual subscription is dependent on the number of different performances chosen. For a simultaneous purchase of 4-6 tickets for different performances, you will receive a discount of 10% off the original ticket price. For a simultaneous purchase of 7-9 tickets for different performances, you will receive a discount of 15% off the original ticket price. For a simultaneous purchase of 10 tickets or more for different performances, you will receive a discount of 20% off the original ticket price.
The benefits of an individual subscription can also be used for concession tickets. Within an individual subscription, both regular priced tickets and concession tickets can be combined. A combination of different seating categories is always available. Please note: All performances must be booked on the same day. Pooling individual bookings after purchase does not count as an individual subscription. Unfortunately it is not possible to book an individual subscription online.

Arrival
To reach the Festival Hall by car: A5 Frankfurt–Basel, exit Baden-Baden (Google Maps route planner). The „Baden Airpark“ regional airport is located just 15km from the Festival Hall. From the Baden-Baden train station, bus lines 201, 205, 216, 243, 244, and 245 all stop at the Festival Hall. The journey takes 15 minutes; buses run from 5:00 in the morning to 1:00 at night. Timetable here: EVA-BW, DB Bahn.
Depending on the event and the season, the parking situation at the Festival Hall can be problematic. In order to avoid the traffic rush after events, we recommend rounding out the evening with dinner at the Festival Hall. There are other parking garages nearby (between 5 and 15 minutes walking distance) that are best suited for concerts in the city center. Of these, the Wagener shopping center parking garage is the closest to the Festival Hall.

We ask our guests to leave coats and jackets at the checkroom, as they may not be taken into the hall. Checkrooms are located on the first floor and on the second and third levels.
The foyer and its bars open 90 minutes before the start of the event. Of course, we also offer food and drinks during the intermission and after the end of the performance.
A comfortable alternative to daddy’s knee? The Festival Hall has a limited number of children’s seats. Our foyer team will provide you with them free of charge.
No matter where you are seated to attend a performance at the Festspielhaus, you will always be able to see and hear clearly. Of course, there are slight variations between different sections, but simple aids can help improve your view of the stage. We are happy to provide opera glasses for your visit to the Festspielhaus. They can be hired from all bars in the foyer for a small fee (€ 2,50 plus € 27,50 deposit).
The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden has a wireless infrared transmission system for hearing impaired visitors. By advanced reservation with the Service Hotline (Phone: +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101) a receiver (headphones), or an induction receiver for hearing aids may be obtained.

For wheelchair users, special platforms are available in the side areas of the ground floor. Those accompanying them are entitled to a free seat in the nearest seating row. We request that you reserve your wheelchair space well in advance.
