The SWR Symphonieorchester returns to its origins. The PRESENCE Festival is dedicated to groundbreaking works of modernity since Ludwig van Beethoven. In 2022 the focus will be on the composer Esa-Pekka Salonen. Members of the orchestra can also be experienced in jazz and chamber music programs.

In 2022, the Easter Festival with the Berliner Philharmoniker will be devoted to central works by Peter I. Tchaikovsky and Igor Stravinsky. Only in Baden-Baden can the orchestra be heard in a staged opera production, this year in The Queen of Spades. The Festival will be rounded out with symphony concerts, a gala, and chamber music.
