Great view, great acoustics

No matter where you are seated to attend a performance at the Festspielhaus, you will always be able to see and hear clearly. Of course, there are slight variations between different sections, but simple aids can help improve your view of the stage. We are happy to provide opera glasses for your visit to the Festspielhaus. They can be hired from all bars in the foyer for a small fee (€ 2,50 plus € 27,50 deposit)

A comfortable alternative to daddy’s knee? The Festival Hall has a limited number of children’s seats. Our foyer team will provide you with them free of charge.

The acoustics are equally good anywhere in the auditorium, as physics experiments have shown.

Hearing Aids

The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden has a wireless infrared transmission system for hearing impaired visitors. By advanced reservation with the Service Hotline (Phone: +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101) a receiver (headphones), or an induction receiver for hearing aids may be obtained.

Wheelchair rental

Upon your request you may rent a wheelchair for the event. Reservation is free of charge and can be made by calling our service hotline: +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101. The wheelchair can be picked up at one of the reserved handicapped parking spaces in the Festival Hall underground parking garage; the only thing you need to bring is your seat cushion.

For wheelchair users, special platforms are available in the side areas of the ground floor. Those accompanying them are entitled to a free seat in the nearest seating row. We request that you reserve your wheelchair space well in advance.

Handicapped parking spaces are marked in the underground parking garage as well as east of the Festival Hall.

Handicapped-accessible toilets are located in the east wing of the Old Train Station (Alter Bahnhof). Entering the box office from outside, turn left.

Discounts for the severely disabled

The severely disabled (70% and above) are entitled to a discount for tickets to Festival Hall events. For discounts, ID cards are to be presented at the entrance without being asked.

Located on the side of the orchestra seating area, eight seats for wheelchair users are offered in price category 5. In lieu of a discount, an attendant/helper can be brought along free of charge. Due to the building design, the attendant/helper seat is located directly opposite the aisle.

Regulations may differ for entertainment events. Seats for wheelchair users can only be booked directly through the Festival Hall and not on the internet. Please feel free to call our ticket hotline at +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101 Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
