Wiener Symphoniker & Leonidas Kavakos

Conductor Marie Jacquot; Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto

Tennis on the big stage – for a long time this was the dream of Frenchwoman Marie Jacquot, who was promoted as a tennis talent since her youth and competed at the French Open. But suddenly Jacquot’s true vocation made itself heard, since at the same time she also conducted and played the trombone. We often find that with real talents, several gifts appear at the same time. Marie Jacquot made the right decision, namely for music and for conducting: she was Kirill Petrenko’s assistant and is now Principal Guest Conductor of the Wiener Symphoniker.
