Ute Lemper sings music by Astor Piazzolla. Both artists had to go abroad in order to arrive artistically, and both invented themselves in Paris. It was here that Piazzolla returned to his roots in tango and Ute Lemper became "La Lemper," the great international star who now lives in New York, the city where Piazzolla was born. Finding what is one's own in a foreign environment, enduring this tension and using it as artistic fuel: Lemper can certainly tell us a thing or two about this, and it was precisely the focus of Piazzolla’s songs. We can't wait to hear the concert, which is guaranteed to be a grand evening.
