Lahav Shani & Daniil Trifonov
Symphonic jazz at its best, and in a classical concert: Daniil Trifonov, one of the most important pianists in the world, plays music by George Gershwin. Copland's "Fanfare", made world famous by the British band Emerson, Lake and Palmer, is a fitting accompaniment. At the end, the Israelite conductor Lahav Shani and his Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will present Tchaikovsky's popular sixth symphony, the "Pathetique".
