Giacomo Puccini: Tosca
Sonya Yoncheva, Riccardo Massi & Erwin Schrott
Today’s finest Traviata sings Tosca: a splendid part for Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva, who is celebrated worldwide for her wide range of roles. Alongside her in our concert performance of Tosca will be Italian tenor Riccardo Massi, who before his career as an operatic tenor appeared as a stuntman in films and series such as Gangs of New York, Empire, and Rome. The charismatic villain will be sung by Uruguayan bass baritone Erwin Schrott, well known to the Festspielhaus audience for his performances as Don Giovanni and Mephisto.
In Italian with German and English surtitles.
