Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Bernhard

To the west of Baden-Baden’s city center rises the impressive Art Nouveau building of the Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Bernhard. Inside, three portals lead into the central nave. Capitals on the pillars portray half-length images of the evangelists and their symbols as well as the cross, in addition to half-length images of prophets, the temple veil, and the altar of burnt offering. This juxtaposition of the old and the new covenant can be found throughout the whole church.
