Hélène Grimaud

Schubert & Beethoven: Last sonatas

Tickets from 26€

In fact, French music wanted to distance itself from the German-Austrian tradition, but it couldn’t completely let go of a fascination with its tempestuous and propulsive, its dreamy and brooding artistic worlds. France's most celebrated pianist is completely honest. An expert in German Romanticism, Hélène Grimaud will be presenting two masterpieces: Beethoven's and Schubert's final piano sonatas – music that speaks of the ultimate. With Beethoven, it proclaims, with Schubert, it sings: an event not to be missed.
