Richard Galliano

Wiener Concert-Verein

“Create a ‘musette neuve’ style, like I invented tango nuevo,” Astor Piazzolla told Richard Galliano, and he followed his advice. The rest is French jazz history – and a model to be emulated by all accordionists. Now the jazz legend is coming to the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. The program combines works by Piazzolla and Galliano with music by Mozart. Among other compositions, we will hear the latter’s famous serenade Eine kleine Nachtmusik. As is well known, the Viennese classicist was a composer who "always smiled, even in tears" – which could well serve as the motto for the entire concert.
