Late Night

Mozart and more

Mozart's Clarinet Quintet is a work of consummate perfection. Did its chorale-like beginning and the second theme – once in major, then in minor – inspire Beethoven in his Violin Concerto? In any case, the similarities are striking. The Quintet will be the heart of our late-night event featuring musicians of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. In the course of the evening, we will also be hearing works by Barrière and Bartók.
