Jan Josef Liefers

POSTPONED to 30.01.2022

Description Program Artists

All events for the second half of the 2020–2021 season are still planned, but cannot currently be booked. Advance ticket sales have been interrupted. The current experience with the coronavirus pandemic has shown us that in the event of strong demand (above the currently permitted 500 guests), advance sales can only be expanded once the official approval has been given to open the hall accordingly. We will continue to publish or confirm the final program six weeks before the scheduled event.

All you need are three key ingredients: “Loriot,” “Jan Josef Liefers,” and of course “The Ring of the Nibelung.” Together, the perfect recipe for an unforgettable evening featuring brilliant music, biting commentary, and the occasional intellectual “Aha!” moment. As forensic doctor Boerne from Tatort Münster, whose assistant “Alberich” is forced to take the heat for his notorious love of Wagner, the actor lends his own personal touch to Loriot’s homage to Wagner. Important contributors to the undertaking are the Staatskapelle Weimar, an orchestra whose history includes close ties with Wagner’s circle, and several top-class Wagner singers who bring the project to the concert stage with skill, playfulness, and plenty of wit.
