Juvavum is the old Latin name for the city of Salzburg, from which four young musicians have playfully derived the name of their Javus Quartet – to signify their indebtedness to the Salzburg string quartet tradition. Founded in 2016, the ensemble is one of Europe’s most sought-after young string quartets and is performing as Rising Stars on the continent’s major concert stages. The program had not yet been finalized at the time of writing. After the concert, the Aida restaurant invites audience members to a discounted lunchtime menu.
