In chamber music, it all starts with choosing the right partners. For the Amelio Trio, the connection came about almost by chance: in 2012, Johanna Schubert, Merle Geißler, and Philipp Kirchner came together for the "Jugend musiziert" competition. At the time, they were just teenagers. The partnership of convenience proved itself to be a stroke of luck. In the meantime, they have been playing together for more than half their lives and inspiring audiences with their almost telepathic chemistry. A Second Prize at the 2023 ARD Music Competition and a triumph at the 2024 German Music Competition paved the way for appearances at Europe’s major concert halls.
