Nacho Duato is a cult figure, his ballets are crowd pullers that are performed by the finest companies around the globe. At this guest performance in Baden-Baden, the master will be introducing his young, Salamanca-based Compañía Nacho Duato. For the occasion, he has chosen one of his classics: "Duende" is a term deeply rooted in Spanish culture that encompasses both the passionate coolness of a flamenco dancer and the magic of a chance encounter. Duato explores, through dance, the word’s many layers of meaning – a tribute to the tradition and mentality of his home country. "Cantus," Duato's latest work, was created specially for the company in 2024. We will be announcing the third part of the evening soon on www.festspielhaus.de.
