Beethoven: Pastorale & Triple Concerto

Presale

  • for everyone from  |
Beethoven's Triple Concerto was written during the creative heyday that also produced his Third “Eroica” Symphony, the Fifth Symphony, and the opera Fidelio. Into these works, the composer concentrated the revolutionary spirit of his time. A concerto for three soloists in dialogue with each other, the Triple Concerto expands the intimacy of chamber music into symphonic dimensions – and then morphs for a few moments into a cello concerto. Daniel Hope conducts the work as a soloist alongside Maximilian Hornung and Marie-Luise Hauzel before, as conductor of the “Pastoral” Symphony, he presents Beethoven's poetic vision of nature.
