A glorious day in the summer of 2025 in Baden-Baden: Yannick Nézet-Séguin, artistic director of the Baden-Baden Summer Festival and a regular guest conductor at the Festspielhaus, christens the rose bred especially for him in the Gönneranlage: ‘Maestro Yannick’ is the name of this noble plant, which has been blooming ever since in Baden-Baden’s most beautiful garden on Lichtentaler Allee. Join us on a stroll there. We’ll explore the rose together with Markus Brunsing, head of the Parks Department, take photographs of it and let it inspire us: to create a portrait of the rose, which you’ll have the chance to paint on canvas using a brush and gouache. Out in the open air in the garden of the Brenners Park Hotel & Spa, artist Martina Schulz from the Museum Frieder Burda’s art workshop will guide you through the process.
