100 Years Metropolis

Film with Live Music

Presale

for everyone from 20.10.26 | 9 am

The city as a living organism, seductive cyborgs, and demonic machines that devour people: Fritz Lang's Metropolis, a key work of cinematic Expressionism, has influenced not only Batman's Gotham City. To mark the centenary of the classic, we will be showing a version accompanied by the film music Metropolis rebooted by composer Martin Matalon. The work for orchestra and electronics translates the power of Expressionist images into a contemporary musical language. This interplay of image and sound will be performed live, creating an immersive experience.
