Yannick Nézet-Séguin

Past event

Two worlds collide: Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony, still deeply rooted in his Russian homeland, contrasts with the late Paganini Rhapsody—an American work whose title is no coincidence in its resemblance to Gershwin’s famous “Rhapsody in Blue.” The program evokes memories of Nézet-Séguin’s acclaimed Rachmaninoff evenings at the Festspielhaus.
