Daniel Behle: My Hamburg
Runder Saal Kurhaus / Master concert / Whitsun Festival 2017Tickets
An homage to Hamburg
When tenor Daniel Behle came out with his widely-acclaimed recording of Winterreise, it was a double offering, with both Schubert’s original and Behle’s arrangement for voice and piano trio. Daniel Behle is one of the highly thoughtful artists who write music themselves, often with a twinkle in his eye: arranging and composing his Hamburg songs and authoring their librettos, he renders homage to Hans Albers – as well as quoting from other guests and fellow Hamburgians.
Performance ends at approximately 3:15 P.M.
