With excerpts from Richard Wagner’s opera Götterdämmerung, Valery Gergiev harks back to the “Russian Ring” produced jointly by the Festival Hall Baden-Baden and the Mariinsky Theater in 2003. Before hearing Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony (“Pathétique”), we will get the chance to meet the new prizewinner of the Tchaikovsky Competition, Alexandre Kantorow, who will play Tchaikovsky's Piano concerto Nr. 2.
