SWR Big Band & Paul Carrack

It's all a question of timing – especially around Christmas, when every family has its own customs and rituals. When the prayers have been said, the songs sung, the roast eaten and the presents unwrapped, dad gets up from the armchair, takes out the whisky and puts on the swinging Christmas record. Or CD. Or playlist. Just as long as it includes “White Christmas,” since at least since Bing Crosby recorded this song in the previous millennium, Christmas has been a swinging affair. Naturally the SWR Big Band with singer Paul Carrack also feature the song in their Swinging Christmas Show. Carrack is bringing along his Hammond organ and the Big Band a string section, ensuring the evening is enveloped in a soft and mellow glow.
