Chamber Music with Musicians of the SWR Symphonieorchester
Music from Ravel, Stravinsky and Schoenberg ; Museum Frieder Burda
All events for the second half of the 2020–2021 season are still planned, but cannot currently be booked. Advance ticket sales have been interrupted. The current experience with the coronavirus pandemic has shown us that in the event of strong demand (above the currently permitted 500 guests), advance sales can only be expanded once the official approval has been given to open the hall accordingly. We will continue to publish or confirm the final program six weeks before the scheduled event.
Style or expression, elegance or depth, playfulness or seriousness, Classicism or Romanticism? At the turn of the last century in Germany, there was an additional duality: civilization or culture? Entire visions of the world are represented on today’s program, which combines music of Stravinsky and Ravel with a late Romantic early work by Schoenberg. The first two would be categorized as “stylistic artists,” while Schoenberg is the exponent of overflowing expression. An exquisite program – presented with passion and wit by soloists of the SWR Symphonieorchester.
