Jan Lisiecki

Piano recital

Description Program Artists

Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki was one of those child prodigies whose stories are the stuff of legend. He skipped no fewer than four (!) grades at school. Chopin recordings he made when he was thirteen astonished critics. But what not every former child prodigy has achieved has come to splendid fruition here: a natural maturation of his talent, combined with a judiciously planned international career, which have now brought the young man to the Festspielhaus – directly into the main evening program, no less! We wanted to ensure you experienced both this unique talent and the truly beautiful program with which the artist will be presenting himself, consisting entirely of gems of the piano repertoire and centering around Lisiecki’s beloved Chopin.
