Spanish composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga was a genius who died at an early age. His music sounds like a mixture between Mozart and Schubert – fittingly, it will be performed alongside two works by the Viennese classical masters: Schubert’s early Romantic Third Symphony and Mozart’s dark D minor Concerto. The concert will conclude with orchestral impressions from Spain.
