Program Artists

A typically German program presented to us by Christian Thielemann with his Sächsische Staatskapelle. The horn motif that opens Weber’s Oberon Overture is regarded as the herald of German Romanticism. The hero of Liszt’s virtuoso Second Piano Concerto is triumphant both in bed and on the battlefield. It will be followed by Brahms’s autumnal Fourth Symphony.
