Bomsori Kim and Julia Okruashvili

Kristallsaal LA8

Description Program Artists

Of all the ARD competitions, the one for violin is considered to be particularly challenging. Since her triumph there, all the world’s stages have been open to the young South Korean violinist Bomsori Kim. In our matinee the artist will be combining classics with precious gems of salon music, such as Saint-Saëns’ whimsical Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso and Waxman’s highly virtuosic Carmen Fantasy. The main part of the program will feature pillars of the repertoire: Schumann's brooding First Violin Sonata and Beethoven's cheerful “Spring” Sonata.
