Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Conductor; Accentus Chor and Chamber Orchestra of Europe

Description Program Artists

Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Music Director of the New York Metropolitan Opera, is returning to Baden-Baden. With the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, he will be presenting a cycle of the complete Beethoven symphonies, which will go some way to making up for Beethoven's 250th anniversary celebrations which were canceled last year due to the pandemic. The orchestra, which will be coming together from all over Europe, can look back on a unique Beethoven tradition. For the 220th anniversary, a legendary cycle took place under the direction of Nikolaus Harnoncourt which is today considered a milestone in the history of interpretation. For the new cycle with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Deutsche Grammophon will once again be coming to Baden-Baden ...
