Our competent Festspielhaus guides present you with a view behind the scenes of Germany’s largest opera and concert house, during a 75-minute tour. The tours take place from Monday to Friday at 11:00am, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 2:00pm. Individual and foreign language tours can be arranged upon request. Prices: € 7 (€ 5 for students and visitor card holders). Meeting point: Ticket sales hall of the Old Station. We are happy to provide opera glasses for your visit to the Festspielhaus. They can be hired from all bars in the foyer for a small fee.

The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden has a wireless infrared transmission system for hearing impaired visitors. By advanced reservation with the Service Hotline (Tel: +49 (0) 72 21/30 13-101) a receiver (headphones), or an induction receiver for hearing aids may be obtained.

A comfortable alternative to daddy’s knee? The Festspielhaus has a limited number of children’s seats. Our foyer team will provide you with them free of charge.

We ask our guests to leave their coats and jackets in the cloakroom, as they may not be taken into the concert hall. Cloakrooms are located on the ground, second and third floors.

With an individual subscription you are not only able to choose and secure tickets for all your favourite performances; you can also make a considerable saving.  An individual subscription is dependent on the number of different performances chosen. For a simultaneous purchase of 7 or 8 tickets for 7 or 8 different performances, you will receive a discount of 10% off the original ticket price. For a simultaneous purchase of 9 tickets or more for 9 or more different performances, you will receive a discount of 15% off the original ticket price.
The benefits of an individual subscription can also be used for concession tickets. Within an individual subscription, both regular priced tickets and concession tickets can be combined. A combination of different seating categories is always available.
Please note: All performances must be booked on the same day. Pooling individual bookings after purchase does not count as an individual subscription.

By car, simply take the autobahn exit signposted “Baden-Baden” on the Basel-Frankfurt A5 Autobahn and follow the Festspielhaus signs. The regional airport “Baden Airpark” is only 15km from the Festspielhaus.

There are two underground car parks in close proximity to the opera house – one at the Festspielhaus, the other at the Kaufhaus Galerie Wagener. The Wagener car park is situated off Lange Strasse in the centre of Baden-Baden, approximately 7 minutes from the Festspielhaus by foot. Due to limited capacity, there can be delays when entering or leaving the car parks.

“All paths lead to the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden” – well, perhaps not as yet, but for our guests’ convenience a comfortable bus transfer service from selected cities to all Festspielhaus classical performances is currently available.
Starting from the 2009/2010 season, transfers from additional cities including Bretten, Bruchsal, Karlsruhe and Leonberg will also be on offer.  Make use of this practical service, and book both your travel and entrance tickets directly from our partner agencies. Gift vouchers of any value starting from € 10 are available for purchase by calling 0049 / 72 21/30 13-101. The vouchers can be used for ordering tickets, a meal in the “Aida” restaurant, when booking a travel package, or at any of the Festspielhaus bars. Unfortunately it is not possible to redeem a gift voucher when purchasing online.

In order to make your arrival as relaxing as possible, the foyer and bars open 90 minutes prior to the commencement of the performance. Food and beverages are also on offer during intermission and following the performances.

Unpaid tickets will remain reserved for ten days. All tickets are non-returnable. All performances are subject to programme or casting alterations and these do not entitle ticket holders to a refund.

Festspielhaus Baden-Baden will grant concession tickets in all price categories to students, trainees, military and civil servicepersons, holders of the Baden-Baden Family Pass, pensioners and severely handicapped persons (disability exceeding 70 percent). Concession passes must be presented upon entry. Wheelchair spaces can only be purchased directly at the Festspielhaus booking office.

Festspielhaus booking office: Mon. - Fri. 10am - 6pm, Sat./Sun. & public holidays 10am - 2pm. The box office opens two hours before concert begin. Tickets are available at all authorised booking and travel agencies.

Payments may be made by credit card, direct debit or bank transfer (Stadtsparkasse Baden-Baden Gaggenau, BIC/Swift-Code: SOLADES1BAD, IBAN: DE 37 662 500 30 00000 64584) by stating the reservation number and concert title. Online reservations can only be paid by credit card.
