Nigel Kennedy
Bach meets Ellington
Composer: Bach, Johann Sebastian
Nigel Kennedy has long been renowned for his cross-genre projects integrating classical, rock, pop and above all jazz music. In this concert he will spectacularly demonstrate the parallels and compatibility of the music of great baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach, and the most famous jazz musician and composer of the 1920s, Duke Ellington. Nigel Kennedy was inspired towards projects of this kind by legendary French jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Having already won the ECHO award on several occasions, Kennedy achieves the ideal fusion of “light” and “serious” music styles. Appearing with him on stage will be the Nigel Kennedy Orchestra of Life.
