The secret of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden?

Reliability, community spirit and loyalty. Over time these three qualities have perhaps lost their significance, however it is these fundaments upon which the Festspielhaus ideology is based – and which have certainly proven their worth. Donors, founders and sponsors contribute one third of our budget annually to the running costs of the Festspielhaus. This alliance between the opera house and its audience defines the ‘Festspielhaus Phenomenon’: each gives what he can spare. Even the smallest contribution makes a difference, and is poured directly into the development of our programmes – and also into our work with children and youths.

The Friends of the Festspielhaus is a non-profit society which funds the artistic programme of the Festspielhaus through the contributions of its members. The annual subscription costs 520€ for individuals, 780€ for couples and 1,500€ for companies. All fees are tax deductible. Members receive privileged ticket booking rights, having access to tickets four weeks before general advanced bookings open thus enabling them to secure their desired seats in advance. Further member bonuses include a service telephone solely for the use of the Friends of the Festspielhaus, fascinating classical music seminars, and exclusive encounters with the artists.

With their annual sponsorship of 5,000€, companies in the Business Pool support a worthy cause and receive invitations to the club lounge, ticket offers for their employees and invitations to networking events, in addition to individual support when reserving tickets.
