This concert will be the ultimate delight for all lovers of Brahms! Here the audience will be treated to none other than Brahms’ “Fifth Symphony”. The Piano Quartet in G minor orchestrated by Schoenberg can justifiably be referred to as this, although there could be some discussion as to whether this symphony is actually the “fifth” or the “zeroth”. In actual fact, it really doesn’t matter. The masterpiece by Brahms was skilfully orchestrated by Schoenberg, providing us with a musical work that is as deep as it is humorous – in its finale it has even been said that Hungarian dances can be heard…
