Hold on to your hats! “Singing, gurgling, tongue clicking, groaning, screaming, fluttering, whispering, sighing, rattling” – no, we are not referring to an alien requesting permission to land, but rather the many sounds produced by Al Jarreau’s voice, as described by the great German jazz expert Joachim-Ernst Berendt. We wouldn’t dream of contradicting Berendt but would like to add that the owner of this exceptional voice can also produce wonderful flute tones and is always happy to make fun of himself. Al Jarreau will take to our stage with Joe Sample, the famous jazz pianist, singer and co-founder of the band “The Crusaders”. A jazz summit and also a reunion of two good friends – what a combination!
