Whilst Renée Fleming makes her debut as “Ariadne” in Baden-Baden (February 2012), another renowned opera singer will be getting to work on an extra special premiere – Rolando Villazón will direct the Donizetti opera “L’ellisir d’amore” for the 2012 Whitsun Festival (from 28th May 2012). Opera lovers will be able to enjoy the Mexican Jack of all trades in a double role, with the star also performing the role of Nemorino in the same production.
