“Let’s create an opera” – the Children’s Music Festival took place in the Festspielhause Baden-Baden under this motto from 19th to 20th June. 300 children enthusiastically got to work on the task, and were swept up in the magic of opera long the way.

Der Freischütz – 2009 Whitsun Festival
A great opera both behind and in front of the curtain.

Dutch fashion designers Viktor&Rolf created the costumes for the new Baden-Baden version of the “Freischütz”. We captured them at work, live on camera.

Marvellous! – The 2009 Winter Festival
"The Cavalier of the Rose" is the absolute pinnacle.

Following the premiere performance of the “Cavalier of the Rose”, audience members were unanimous in their praise - probably due to the appreciation of the amount of work which had gone into the production. Take an exclusive peek over the shoulder of the protagonists during the dress rehearsal of this great Strauss opera in Baden-Baden.

The DVD of the highly acclaimed “Cavalier of the Rose” production from the 2009 Winter Festival in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden is available for immediate purchase. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra - under the direction of Christian Thielemann - provides the musical accompaniment. Singers including Renée Fleming, Diana Damrau and Franz Hawlata undertake the leading roles. An excerpt can be viewed in the above trailer.
