Learn and experience in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden

The Youth Ticket
The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden helps guide teenagers and young adults along the path of discovery towards the destination of classical music. Students and trainees under the age of 26 are eligible for a “Youth Ticket” at the special discounted rate of 10 Euros upon presentation of valid identification (e.g. Student Identity Card). Subject to availability.

Children’s Music Festivals
The Children’s Music Festivals in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden present cultural education in an enjoyable and entertaining way. Joining in is the key! Whether in the Children’s Opera, at the Children’s Orchestra Festival or the Children’s Dance Festival – music teachers and musicians ensure lively interaction is paramount rather than lecturing and preaching.

School Project
Classical music has never been so much fun! After researching the evening’s theme either in class or individually, teachers and students arrive at the Festspielhaus to enjoy the evening concert together. They are treated to celebrated stars performing live at the cinema price of just 10 Euros! Click here to view the programme, register and access preparation materials.
Introductory talks
Eighty minutes prior to the commencement of all classical music programmes, ballets and operas, the Festspielhaus offers an introductory talk on Level 3 of the foyer - often during this time, the speaker will take the opportunity of introducing musical guests to those present. The talk is then repeated 40 minutes prior to the start of the performance.

Festspielhaus Book of Etiquette
What should I wear? Where do I need to go? When is the right time to clap? These important questions and many more are answered in the legendary and humorous “Festspielhaus Book of Etiquette”, a ‘must read’ for all students prior to visiting the Festspielhaus. On a number of occasions in the past it has helped many avoid some major blunders!
