Netrebko, Villazón and Jarrett
Performances by Anna Netrebko, Rolando Villazón and jazz trio Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock & Jack DeJohnette are highlights of the 2010 season in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. “We are expanding our current season programme with the addition of three distinguished and celebrated names and four concerts”, says General Manager Andreas Mölich-Zebhauser. Following his successful vocal chord operation, Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón will return to Baden-Baden on Thursday 29th April 2010 at 8pm with arias by Handel. Villazón says: “What makes me happy, more than anything else, is to be performing for my fans again.” He will be accompanied by the “Gabrieli Consort and Players” under the direction of Paul McCreesh. Anna Netrebko will also take a journey into the world of Baroque with her performances of Giovanni Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” at the Baden-Baden Gala on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th July 2010 at 8pm. The Orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Rome, conducted by Antonio Pappano will accompany her. A special jazz event will take place on Friday 9th July 2010 at 8pm, with Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette performing their only concert in Germany. ›› Tickets
